United Way of Southeast Mississippi Announces 2021-22 Board Chair, Members

HATTIESBURG, MISS. – United Way of Southeast Mississippi has announced Todd Jackson, Executive Vice President at Area Development Partnership, as it's 2021-22 board chair.

Jackson is serving his second three-year term as a board member and has previously volunteered with United Way as the community impact committee chair, resource development committee chair and as a member of the strategic planning and executive committees. As board chair, he will work with fellow board members and community partners to improve the areas of education, health and financial stability throughout the region.

Jackson replaces director of Risk Management Services at Forrest General Hospital Janet Mitchell, whose term as board chair ended March 31. Mitchell remains a member of the board of directors as past board chair and will continue to serve on the executive and resource development committees.

“I know it may sound cliché’ but I am truly honored to serve as the United Way of Southeast Mississippi Board Chair this year,” said Jackson. “This organization has such an incredible history of serving those in the most need here in our community. I’m also honored to follow a long line of community leaders that have served in this role before and those are huge shoes to fill. The good news is that we’ve got a great Board of Directors and of course wonderful nonprofit partners, so the future of this organization is incredibly bright and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
