Visit the Home:

Beginning February 11, open house tours will be held every Saturday and Sunday until April 1 on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.  Open houses will also be held Monday, March 26-Friday, March 30 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Register for free door prizes at each open house.

Directions to 39 North Founders Way: Traveling south on U.S. Highway 49, turn right onto WSF Tatum Drive (just past The Salvation Army Family Store). Go .6 of a mile and turn left on to Bonhomie Road. Drive 1.2 miles and turn right on Vintage Park into the Vintage Springs subdivision. Take the first right on to North Founders Way. Go .3 of a mile, and the house will be on the right.

• By Mail - Download an order form here.  Mail in the completed order form and $100 check or credit card information to United Way of Southeast Mississippi, P.O. Box 1648, Hattiesburg, MS  39403, postmarked by March 26, 2012.
  
• By Phone or Fax - Call 601-545-7141 or fax a completed order form to 601-545-8872 by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, to order by VISA or MasterCard.
  
• In Person - Tickets will be on sale at the United Way office at 210 W. Front Street in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg; local Sunflower and Corner Market stores; and select locations of Citizens Bank, Community Bank, The First and Grand Bank until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012. Contact one of these places for a location near you.
  
• Tickets may also be purchased during open house weekends (see above for times) and at HUBFEST, which will be held Saturday, March 31 in downtown Hattiesburg from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.  *PLEASE NOTE* There will NOT be a Home and Products Show this year at Lake Terrace Convention Center. 
  
• The last weekend to buy tickets will be March 31 at HUBFEST, the open house or online and Sunday, April 1 at the open house or online.

Want a FREE Ticket? 

Anyone who purchases a raffle ticket at an open house or during HUBFEST will be entered into a separate drawing for a chance to win another FREE ticket!  Double your chances to win for the price of one!  Drawings for free tickets will take place after each open house weekend and every hour of HUBFEST beginning at noon.

The Lucky Winner:

The winning ticket will be drawn Monday, April 9, 2012, at 6 p.m. on location at 39 North Founders Way in Hattiesburg.  The drawing will be announced on WDAM's 6 p.m. news broadcast.  You do not have to be present to win.

Runner-up prizes in the raffle include: a new computer donated by Owens Business Machines; gift cards donated by Ashley Furniture Home Store, Best Buy and Corner Market; a gift package donated by the members of the Historic Hattiesburg Downtown Association; and a football package donated by Southern Miss.

What Your $100 Raffle Ticket Can Do:

When you purchase a Home Sweet Home Raffle ticket, you not only get a chance to win a new $250,000 home, you also help others in our community!  Your purchase will:

• provide 10 hot meals for disaster victims through American Red Cross, or
• send two Cub Scouts in the Scoutreach program to day camp for a week, or
• provide a child with two weeks of after-school programming at The Family Y, or
• feed 20 hungry people a hot meal at Christian Services, and
• assist many other programs to improve our community through education, health, financial stability and support services.

Terms and Conditions

All ticket holders understand and agree to the terms and conditions of the Greater Hattiesburg Home Builders, LLC, and Leaf River Cellulose, LLC “Home Sweet Home” Raffle for the benefit of United Way of Southeast Mississippi set forth herein:
• A ticket represents a chance to win the opportunity to accept an offer of the stated prize as per the terms and conditions set forth herein and in the Winner Notification Agreement.
• The purchase of a raffle ticket constitutes full agreement by the purchaser to all terms and conditions set forth herein and in the Winner Notification Agreement.
• No one will be eligible to win who procures a ticket through a check returned for “insufficient funds” or through charge to a debit or credit card that is “declined”, “invalid”, or “stolen”.
• Mailed application forms must be postmarked by Monday, March 26, 2012; faxed and phone orders must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012; and online orders must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012, to be eligible for the drawing. All times shown are central.  Greater Hattiesburg Home Builders (GHHB), LLC, Leaf River Cellulose, LLC and United Way of Southeast Mississippi are not responsible for applications lost in the mail.
• A maximum of 5,000 tickets will be sold. If less than 2,500 tickets have been sold by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2012, the raffle will be cancelled, and each ticket holder will be refunded their $100 purchase price, and the home will be sold on the open market. The house will be sold by GHHB, LLC for reasonable fair market value, and GHHB, LLC will reimburse United Way for expenses not to exceed 10% of the sales price of the house after applicable deductions.
• All ticket purchasers agree that the raffle ticket winner or Open Market Sale buyer will become the Grantee of the house and that the said Grantee will take the property "as is," "where is," subject only to the claims, if any, relating to the state of title to the parcel. That notwithstanding, the winner or purchaser will be provided by GHHB, LLC, the builder, with a New Home Warranty limited solely to statutory remedies set out in Miss. Code Ann. Section 83-58-1 through 83-58-16 of the Mississippi New Home Warranty Act, as currently codified. The deed from GHHB, LLC conveying title to the house will contain these restrictions or the equivalent.
• Winner will be notified of their winning the house by Winner Notification Agreement, to be sent via certified, return receipt U. S. mail by GHHB, LLC. Winner will have 10 days from the date of their receipt of the Winner Notification Agreement to accept the prize by executing and returning to GHHB, LLC, the Winner Notification Agreement pursuant to the terms and conditions stated therein upon which appropriate deed will be executed and delivered. If the executed Winner Notification Agreement is not received by GHHB, LLC, within said period, the prize will be automatically forfeited and will be offered to the next runner-up in the same manner and under the same conditions above stated. No formal closing need occur and transfer of title will be accomplished by delivery of deed, which shall occur no more than 60 calendar days from the date of the winner’s acceptance of the prize as evidenced by executing the Winner Notification Agreement and payment of all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
• Access to the house by winner will be restricted until fully and unconditionally accepted by the winner pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein and in the Winner Notification Agreement and complete delivery is made to the winner. The house remains sole property of GHHB, LLC until delivery of deed.
• The winner in the GHHB, LLC, Leaf River Cellulose, LLC "Home Sweet Home” Raffle is subject to any and all applicable federal, state and local taxes payable due to their acceptance of their prize. The winner of the home agrees that the written determination of a licensed appraiser will be used to determine the value of the house for income tax purposes.
• The winner of the house will be responsible for property taxes, assessments and insurance accruing after the date of transfer of title to the winner.
• The winner of the house will be subject to all applicable zoning laws and land use regulations, including covenants and/or restrictions imposed by the Vintage Springs subdivision.
• GHHB, LLC and United Way of Southeast Mississippi, Inc. reserve the right to use the names, pictures, video images and relevant quotes of winner.
• The $100 ticket price, payable to United Way of Southeast Mississippi, Inc., is not deductible for federal income tax purposes.
• Furniture and accessories in the home are for display only and not included in the prize.
• Winner need not be present at the drawing to be held on Monday, April 9, 2012, at 6 p.m. on location at 39 North Founders Way, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
• Participants must be twenty-one (21) years or older.
• Void where prohibited by law.
• Employees of United Way of Southeast Mississippi and their immediate family members are not eligible to purchase a raffle ticket.
• Ticket sales and drawing will be verified by an independent accounting firm.
• The terms and conditions of the agreement dated October 7, 2011, by and between GHHB, LLC, Leaf River Cellulose, LLC and United Way of Southeast Mississippi, Inc. are incorporated herein by this reference.
• Raffle proceeds will be used to pay GHHB, LLC’s administrative fee; GGHB’s actual cost and expenses of the house, at cost; the cost to GHHB, at cost, of the parcel; all non-donated closing costs; and realtor’s commission, if any.
• United Way of Southeast Mississippi, GHHB, LLC, and Leaf River Cellulose, LLC, are only independent contractors of the other, and are not intended to be and should not be argued to be operating as joint venturers, partners, principals-agents, employers-employees, or under any relationship other than that of at-arm's-length independent contractors.
